1. Why does my solar light not work? It may be caused by the following: 1) The switch is in the “OFF” position. Turn the switch to the “ON” OR “AUTO” position and allow the solar light to be charged for at least 8 hours under direct sunlight. 2) Battery is not fully charged. Make sure the solar light is placed in an area where the solar panel receives the maximum amount of full direct sunlight everyday. If the solar panel does not receive enough sunlight during daytime, e.g., due to cloudy or overcast weather conditions, it will be recharged on the next sunny day and resumes operation. 3) The solar light is put too close to other light sources, e.g., street lights and porch lights, therefore the light sensing mechanism turns off the solar light. Relocate the solar light until it works properly. 4) The rechargeable battery may need to be replaced. Use only the specified type of battery for replacement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Why does my new solar light only work for a short time? It’s because the battery is not fully charged. New rechargeable batteries may not get fully charged until they are charged and discharged by three times. When the battery is fully charged, the working time will reach 6~8 hours. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Why in rainy, cloudy days, or in winter, my solar light works for a significantly shorter time? The solar panel needs be put under direct sunlight for 6~8 hours in daytime to get the battery fully charged. In cloudy, rainy days, or in winter, time for the solar panel be under direct sunlight is much shorter, so the battery is not fully charged. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. How to let my solar light work for the longest time? 1) It is very important to place the solar light in a ideal place that receives the maximum amount of sunlight. It MUST NOT be put in shadow. 2) If workable, adjust the positioning of the solar panel so it could receive the sunlight for the longest time. 3) Clear sundries on the surface of solar panels regularly. Fallen leaves, thick dust and birds’ droppings, etc. on solar panels will affect the current in solar panels and lead to insufficient recharges. However, do not clear the frozen snow covered on the solar panels as it may damage the solar panel. Let the snow melt naturally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Why do some solar lights work earlier at night, while others work relatively late? The time for the solar light to start working depends on the brightness of the surrounding area. As the solar lights are placed in different area in your garden, the brightness may be different. Therefore some may work earlier, and the others may work relatively late. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Why does my solar light not working stably? 1) The battery may be poorly contacted. Reinstall the battery and make sure the cover is installed in position and the screws are tightened. 2) When the brightness in the surrounding area is at the critical point for the light sensor, the light may flash. 3) The battery is running out of power. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Why do my solar lights inserted in the garden lean or fall down on the ground? 1) The soil when the solar light is inserted may be too soft. Reinsert it in harder soil. 2) If the soil is not hard enough, in windy weather, the strong wind may blow down the solar lights, and it is recommended to keep the solar lights indoors. After the windy weather, put it in your garden again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. Will the color of my solar light fade during warranty period? It is normal that the color of a solar lamp change or fade slightly after suffering from the sunshine and rain. However, it is just the change of appearance and its function is not affected. |
